MTA Meeting Minutes for July 24, 2005
Meeting was held at Ricky and Ronnie's Diner in Harbor City. Meeting was called to order at 5:55pm. by Chairman Steve Morris.

- We need a volunteer to be Treasurer since Tuna McKnight is resigning. Joe Enfield volunteered and will have a private meeting soon to familiarize himself with the job. Many thanks to Joe!

- Treasurers Report deferred at this time due to the transition but the checking account balance at US Bank is $502.02 plus about $100 in cash to be deposited. Robert Haenel has paid his 2005 dues.

- Last Sunday 9 members went on the Brothers of the Third Wheel Ride. Although is was scenic with interesting roads, the $15-$18 fee was a bit steep considering it did not include lunch or any door prizes.

- Wacky Wabbit Wide for charity is scheduled for Sunday, 9/25. Discussion regarding where to start, how much to charge, where to end, how to provide food and discounts for club affiliations, route and check points. Flyer to be made by Steve and sent to SCMA newsletter printer

This years WWW will be an SCMA Travelers Award and this should help us increase attendance.

- Next Saturday is the Kool Ride Fund Raiser to raise $$ to purchase cooling vests for the troops in Iraq. The $20 fee includes a Burger King lunch. Takes place at the O.C. Roadhouse in Costa Mesa. 1660 Placentia Ave. 11 AM to ??? Steve will be leaving Torrance about 12:30 for anyone who wants to join him.

- October 2 is the Gumball Rally that starts at Browns BMW in Pomona. Details to follow

- Discussion about the idea of having an overnighter in the Central California Coast region, possibly Moro Bay in the Springtime. April of May would probably be a good choice. Steve will contact a local friend in Atascadero for his input. This would be sanctioned my MTA, SCMA and AMA and could be called the California/Nevada Regional Rally. Camping and motels would be provided. The idea was well received and will be pursued.

- Next years MTA Gathering (formerly known as V-Daze) will be the third week in June in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. This is in the scenic Ozarks and promises to be a great rally. Make your plans now.

- 50/50 drawing was won by Stephanie Duron with a net of $10.50 for her.
